This mom came to us looking for an experience different than the ones she had received at the mall. She told us her two year old daughter hardly smiled for photos, and she just wasn't sure if she wanted to keep investing in ten minute portrait sessions.

We are very different than the typical photo studio for many reasons. I will address the elephant in the room, we are a much bigger investment. We realize that not everyone can afford this luxury, but this mom was willing to. She was used to spending $50 or so in the mall, for okay images. She left us spending well over fifty times that amount... and was beyond happy. She was in tears as she left the studio, thanking us for such an incredible experience with art work of the beautiful relationship between her and her daughter. That is what we encounter time and time again, people thanking us. People find a way to afford us once they realize that we are offering so much more than just images.

Mom and daughter arrived at the studio around three in the afternoon. Mom was greeted by us and our make-up artist to be fully pampered. Hair, make-up and a mini massage. This sweet baby girl played in our child suite, and we had so much fun with her. She kept call me "girl" and I got absolutely no work done while she was here because we were busy making pizza in the kitchen and soothing her baby dolls to sleep. We had a blast, I couldn't believe this was the same little girl I was warned wouldn't smile. She and I watched the land before time, because her favorite animal is a t-rex. I mean, does it get better?

When choosing wardrobe, we all gathered in the moms room where mom and daughter both tried on dresses. She giggled a squealed as she put the long halter dress on... it was definitely her favorite, and it was so cute to watch her strut in front of the mirror. <3

Mom chose our very popular nude lace gown. It is so flattering for all body types.<3

Overall, they were with us for about 4 and a half hours. Mom returned to the studio about two weeks after the session to see her images in person, and order her fine art pieces. She was so very happy with everything, she ordered an album and our very popular artisan poster. She vows to never again return to the mall. ;)
